Is Orthoplanz suitable for every patient?

Orthoplanz is designed for patients with transverse maxillary deficiency and sufficient bone structure for mini-screw anchorage. A clinical assessment is required to determine suitability.

Is CBCT mandatory for planning?

CBCT is highly recommended for accurate screw placement and bone modeling. However, for basic cases, lateral and panoramic radiographs may be sufficient depending on the planning option chosen.

Can I place the device without a transfer tray?

We strongly recommend using the custom transfer tray provided, as it ensures exact placement and reduces clinical time and error risk.

How long does the planning process take?

Once all required data is submitted, planning is usually completed within 3 to 5 business days. Urgent cases may be expedited upon request.

Who performs the activation of the appliance?

Activation is performed by the patient according to a predefined protocol. Patients activate the device themselves by the key provided.

What data formats do you accept?

We accept STL files for scans and DICOM for CBCT. You may also submit Panoramic and Cephalometric X-rays in JPEG, PNG and GIF format.

Can Orthoplanz be used in adults?

Yes. Orthoplanz is bone-supported and can be used in adolescent and adult patients, unlike traditional tooth-borne expanders.

Do you offer training or support?

Absolutely. Our team provides onboarding support, clinical guidance, and case-based consultation for every practitioner using Orthoplanz solution.
